Troye Sivan “Youth” Music Video

Troye reminds me of when I was a little gay boy growing up. Well,  the things that Troye portrays in his videos are things that EVERYONE can relate to. The video for “Youth” focuses on just that, Troye being himself in a youthful setting having fun, flirting, and dancing in purple light.

I remember, wait, what am I saying? Correction: Earlier today, I was dancing in the doorway to the restroom before I dropped a few nuggets in the toilet, pretending I was Troye in the “Youth” video before I even watched it. I am so influential.

“Youth” is my jam right now. It makes me so happy. I listen to it on a loop while I run on the treadmill, holding my chest down with my forearm.

NEW ADELE SONG AND VIDEO, “HELLO,” TO PREMIERE TONIGHT

Come 11:30 PM PST time, no other song will matter for, I’d say, the next week. Adele is back after selling over 30 million copies of her previous album, “21.” The rumored promo for “25” is sensational, unique, and an all-out event. Curiosity surrounds the album regarding how the album will sound, topics of the songs, and also with streaming becoming more dominant and physical album sales dwindling even more so, how the album will fare sales wise.

Adele tweeted an open letter yesterday explaining how she approached “25” and apologized for the 4 year wait.

I seriously want to quit my job and just report on all things Adele. As you all know, I’m obsessed with Lana Del Rey and she has unique ways of marketing, but Lana seems to be scaling back on television performances and all things “being in the spotlight.” Whereas Adele will dominate EVERYTHING.

The track listing last also been released and I’m glad she doesn’t have 99 songs on it. A good, solid, 11 songs. Hopefully none are “filler” tracks, but we’ll have to wait and see.

1. Hello
2. Send My Love (To Your New Lover)
3. I Miss You
4. When We Were Young
5. Remedy
6. Water Under The Bridge
7. River Lea
8. Love In The Dark
9. Million Years Ago
10. All I Ask
11. Sweetest Devotion

I’m excited, elated, and stressed. Stressed because I know getting tickets to her tour will be a damn Olympic obstacle.

Watch the Album Trailer for Lana Del Rey’s “Honeymoon”

Lana, why do you have to do this to us? You give us everything and nothing, at the same time. Everything in the sense that we get a trailer for the album, a damn trailer for an album like its a blockbuster summer movie. Nothing because we couldn’t squeeze a live televised performance out of you for any track off “Ultraviolence” and it’ll probably be the same for “Honeymoon.” Ah, well. Can’t have it all, can we?

The trailer for “Honeymoon” has visuals we haven’t seen before. Of course, it’s vintage and grimy looking with a valencia Instagram filter, but its expected from Lana these days. We get a preview of four songs off “Honeymoon,” two we have heard in full, if you’re up on your game, and two we have never heard. We’ve heard “Terrance Loves You” and “High By The Beach,” but its cool to have this visual to see the music sort of dance to. The two new tracks are “Freak” and the highly anticipated “Music To Watch Boys To.” Both tracks give off the heavy, melancholy vibe sonically. “Music To Watch Boys To” sounds nearly a cappella with very light music underneath the vocals.

It’s promising to see these visuals because there are four minutes worth, so that means Lana took some time to film different scenes, in different places, with different ideas in her mind. Hopefully, this means a lot more visuals this time around. I’m such a fan of Lana’s music videos, even the ones I don’t really care for are superb, like “High By The Beach.” The more I watch it, the more I appreciate it until it gets to the bazooka in the guitar case part, then I side-eye the screen.

Lady Gaga “ARTPOP” Snippet!

The ONE song that I’ve been dreaming of from Gaga since she performed it on the iTunes Festival, “ARTPOP.”

It sounds like mermaids, a painting, a dream, bubbles and outer space. I love this. I can’t imagine this as a single, but this really did shoot adrenaline through my veins.

Lady Gaga “Aura” Lyric Video Premiere!

We finally have an official 2nd track from the highly anticipated “ARTPOP” from Lady Gaga. Set to clips and sound bytes from “Machete Kills,” which Gaga cameos, “Aura” serves us with music that separates her from her pop contemporaries. Now, I’m not saying Gaga is in the league of Bjork in terms of artistry and sonically, but come on. Katy, Miley and Beyonce sound nothing like this.

Rihanna “Pour It Up” Music Video Premiere

Shot back in May 2013, the visual for Rihanna’s “Pour It Up” is able to be seen by stand & fans alike. Rihanna is twerking with her friends in water with short, white, curly hair. I never opted to listen to “Pour It Up” but now that there is a video I can visualize the song with, I’m all about it. Let me put this on my workout playlist and picture myself doing those pole dancing moves, no lie.

The behind the scenes of “Pour It Up” is a good watch too. There is a scene at 2:07 that I need to recreate with my man.

“No baysics zone. NO BAYSICS!”

Britney Spears “Work Bitch” Music Video Premiere

We here at PopStarsAreNotRealPeople have a soft spot for Britney Jean. So soft in fact, we compare it to the soft spot on a newborn baby’s head. While watching the video I ran out of breath, my heart is beating so hard my chest is bruising and my palms and feet are dripping in sweat.

Britney is looking fantastic, the visuals are remarkable and girl dances! Now, B doesn’t pull out all of the stops in her dance routine, but she sure as hell isn’t deserving of the nickname Walkney. Britney bent those knees (shoutout to my gurls at ATRL.net) and danced better than Katy Hudson during ANY of her performances.

I’d recommend sitting on the toilet while watching the video cause you’re going to shit yourself.

Britney Spears “Work Bitch” VEVO Audio

Britney Jean Spears is back. Now, the track is a grower. For me, it wasn’t immediate. I mean, I thought it was a nice departure from what we’re used to hearing from Britney Jean, but I wasn’t dancing in a puddle of my own pee from excitement. The more I think about it, the more I want to hear it and the more I start to love it! The return of Britishney and Accentney are upon us! Lets just hope that Danceney is back and not Walkney.

Lady Gaga “Applause” Music Video

The hell? I never posted about “Applause?” I’m such a dick.

I’m pleased as heck that the video is solely the duration of the song and not an additional 10 minutes. The mini series Gag’s was presenting  the whole “Born This Way” era was getting predictable and annoying. One an era will be fine, you know, so it’s more of a treat than a letdown.

Okay, with a Gaga video there is always a favorite look and mine for “Applause” is shower cap Gaga with the big ass comforter billowing around her body. So sleek & chic.

The video itself is promising for what the “ARTPOP” era can be. Gaga has said that “ARTPOP” is going to involve past looks she had from “The Fame” era to present day and revamp them. Yes, please.

Eminem “Berzerk” Music Video

Not really much to say about the video other than its okay. Forgettable and the song was a good listen initially, but it doesn’t make me want to listen to it on repeat.

Meh.
