Britney Spears “Scream And Shout” Music Video

Come on, the only reason why 100% of the people are looking forward to watching this video is because of Britney. Not only is she the main attraction for the video, she is the best part of the song. Sure, its a good song and has a cool, simple beat, but what if it were just Will.I.Am. on the track or what if it featured someone boring like Rita Ora? Definitely, no one would be here for it.

Here’s the thing, a lot of people are still rooting for Britney. Britney’s “Circus” comeback was a step in the right direction. The videos were on par with the Britney that we came to love and the choreography in the videos were on point as well. The performances were lacking, but there was still a glimmer of hope and Queen B didn’t have the glazed over look in her eyes or the zombie voice we’re all too familiar with. The “Femme Fatale” era’s performances and choreography were lazy, uninspired and cringeworthy. The videos were good, but you could see that Britney was sedated and it looked as though she was just going through the motions and not even trying.

“Scream and Shout” is, in many ways, a sigh of relief for everyone who is still rooting for Queen B. Not only does Britney look great, she is working that camera and it looks like there is someone alive behind those eyes. Yeah, there was no choreography, but that’s okay. Britney may not be the dancer that many of us grew up with, but if she can command the camera the way she did in this video, then I’m pretty sure she’ll be able to command a stage with her hand choreography, hair flips and sexy walking across the stage.

Is it just me or is the song way too long and is there too much Will.I.Am?
